Congratulations! Your
cotton fields have received the water they need to grow. Soon you will be able
to harvest all that cotton that you and many other people need.
You have learned about
the Hohokam Indians and how they got water to their
fields hundreds of years ago. You learned how irrigation and canals work. Many
of the canals you see around Casa Grande are canals used by the Hohokam or they follow the same path that Hohokam canals once did. Keep an eye out when you pass a
farm field. See if you can locate some canals!
